I am committed to becoming the new State Senator in Arizona's 30th district. I believe in legislating with hope, creativity and strong bi-partisan relationships.
My 24 years experience in the Washington State Legislature has equipped me
for the demands of this office. I will energetically and assertively pursue
the best future for the residents of Sierra Vista, Sahuarita, Tucson, Vail, Patagonia,
Green Valley, and all the communities in this district.
My priorities include
- Vigorous economic development to lift Arizona out of an unprecedented economic downturn, which has cut your jobs and incomes.
- Sustainable water and alternative energy sources which are critical ingredients for our successful, shared economic prosperity. This will help retain and attract businesses and employment opportunities.
- Improved and relevant education for all of our children and young adults to fully prepare them for careers in technical, professional, public service and green collar jobs. Training and retraining for today's workforce will prepare us for the employment opportunities of tomorrow.
